After five trade fairs in the city of Algiers, SIEE Pollutec, the International Exhibition of Water Equipments, Technologies and Services, being the national event reference for the water sector, was welcomed from the 17th to the 20th of May 2010 in the new Convention Centre of Oran for the 6th edition.
The first fair of Pollutec in Oran has been a success with modern and innovative infrastructures, which attracted 293 exhibitors of 18 different countries and 7,552 trade visitors (i.e. 17.8% more than in 2009), looking for new suppliers and new techniques. An exposition surface of 10,000 m² was mobilized for this event.
With the five-year plan 2010-2014, and the numerous market opportunities in the water sector in Algeria, 18 countries had been attending the event, 43% of them were Algerian companies and 57% international companies.
Many international suppliers of water equipments and services as well as the water public sector under the Ministry of Water Resources, partner of the event, took actively part to this trade fair.
The professionalism of the conferences and the exhibitors caught the attention of many visitors. Important questions about new technologies on water mobilization, management and treatment, production and distribution of potable water, treatment of industrial pollution and waste water, measure, control, irrigation and sustainable development were relevant during the fair.
